...is the theme for this year's RJC Israel Emergency Fund Appeal. It offers us, the RJC community, the opportunity to once again partner with Israel in its ongoing struggle to ensure the safety and security of all who live within its borders. In addition to the constant and terrifying rocket attacks from Gaza on the Sderot population, the last weeks and months have tragically included the suicide bombing in Dimona, the heightened state of alert on the northern border due to alarming threats by Hizbollah, and now the devastation of last week’s massacre at Yeshivat Mercaz HaRav. These threats and attacks have traumatic impact upon the physical, psychological and emotional well-being of all who reside in Israel- they disrupt the normal functioning of the communities in which they occur, as well as the country at large.

YOU CAN HELP by responding generously to the RJC's Israel Emergency Fund's Shabbat Shemini appeal on March 29th. Speaking on the theme, will be Miles and Alida Bunder of Yashar Lachayal,(a widely respected organization that provides support to needy front line soldiers and their families).

Allocations of funds raised at this appeal are made by the Israel Emergency Fund to organizations which are proposed by our membership. Please bring information on organizations that you believe would benefit from our support to the committee.
